4 WAYS TO CLEAN UP YOUR SCHEDULE

The start of a fresh month is a great time to reevaluate the things on your plate and clean up your schedule. Here are four ways I reassess the ways we’re spending our time.

1. Build Free Chunks

Life is full of the unexpected, so you’ll need pockets of free time that allow for margin to get things done.

2. Think About Recurring Weekly Commitments

Depending on where you are in your year, this may be a good time to walk through your commitments and consider whether there are things that you want to add or remove from your plate.

3. Allow Time to Plan and Prepare for Your Day

It doesn’t matter when you plan your day, the important thing is to make sure to build time into your day where you are thinking about the things that need to get done and finding the pockets of time in the coming day, week, months, to actually get it done.

4. Plug in Everything You Want to Get Done Weekly

The ideal week should get you thinking about what you are currently doing and what you want to be doing, and then concluding whether or not you are able to get it all done with the time you have.

Details: The Art of Anticipating Needs and Getting Things Done - eBook
$10.00

All leaders lead by example. I've known leaders who are disconnected and heavy handed and unfortunately the people who work underneath of these kinds of leaders often mimic their example. I've also known leaders who are connected to their team and lead with humility and service. These kinds of leaders grow and empower their teams and motivate out of love instead of fear. The key to being one of these leaders is knowing how to anticipate the needs of your work and your team. Anticipating needs is really caring for your work and the people you know enough to think about them ahead of time and make the best decisions for everyone. In order to do this properly you need to be able to do 7 things:

  1. Distribute Time.

  2. Engage in Conversation.

  3. Take the Lead to be Assertive.

  4. Ask What You Can Do.

  5. Initiate Relationships.

  6. Lead with Learning.

  7. Search for Solutions.

Anticipating needs is more than just thinking about things ahead of time and being organized. Those things are great and worth your efforts. But anticipating needs goes beyond those things and reaches into the lives of the people surrounding you. So, the next time you feel disorganized, like you aren't leading and anticipating the needs of your team effectively, or unsure how to best start serving those around you, just think about the DETAILS.

MONTHLY PLANNER
$0.00

When I’m aware of the commitments I’ve made and what I’m choosing to focus on are the months I’m the most successful with accomplishing tasks and moving towards my goals.

I wanted a place for me to collect my thoughts, set goals, and keep track of the most important projects for each month. I’m a big on having regular brain dumps. I even have a couple of different versions of a Brain Dump doc in my resources. But I wanted something that provided the space to see multiple things on one page. So… here’s a new Monthly Planning doc.

The monthly planning doc gives you a place to:

  • Write down your goals for the month

  • Highlight Important tasks and dates

  • List projects that you need to complete

  • Dump your thoughts and tasks with a simplified list of prompts.

You can download this resource for free in my store along with a bunch of other printable productivity resources.

MONTHLY CALENDAR
$0.00

Finding the right monthly calendar is hard to do. The calendars I've loved using still have features I don't use, and I find myself drawing alterations by hand each month. I decided that I didn't want to do this anymore and designed one for myself.

Having a physical place to look at what's happening in a month is important for my brain. I appreciate digital calendars and use them every day, but something different happens when I write something down onto a piece of paper.

This calendar has two features that make it unique from the other printable calendars: goals and wins.

Goals

Each week has a place to write three goals. I put the goals at the end of the week because I wanted to think of them as a finish line. I kept the space small for writing down the goals to force myself to keep them simple and clear.

Wins

Months come and go so quickly. If I don't take time to reflect and practice gratitude for the things we've been able to do, it can feel like life is passing by without making progress. I added some space at the bottom to write down the accomplishments for the month. I love doing this and taking time to reflect on all the things we have to be thankful for.
